In fact, right after I did my operation, I could see quite clearly already. You just need to wear a pair of colourless eye mask and avoid looking at strong light, otherwise you will be fine. If you are still worried, you can rest in the hospital for a while, until you feel good enough to go.
It is really worth doing. I am very happy with my eyesight now, especially when I am expecting my baby this summer and I don't want to rely on my spectacles/ contact lens any more.
