Any outdoor activities? Any zoo? Is the waterworld suitable for young kids?
As my 2-year old daughter had fever after our arrival in KL last year, we cancelled many outdoor activities and so I cannot share much personal experience with you. I am afraid I can only advise you that there's such a place near KL -
zoo - Zoo Negara (you can travel there by local tour or taxi), or the Bird Park/Butterfly Park and Deer Park in Lake Gardens of KL city centre (I've been these parks, quite nice for young kid as they can have close encounter with the animals and birds, but you may not consider this time because of avian flu)
Waterpark - many people said Sunway Lagoon is good for 3 year old kid (Click). Another option closer to downtown KL is the Desa Water Park (Click). Yet I had been neither of them because the swimming pool in the hotel was already good enough for my kid!
