Picoton and E usually use clemence because it is a soft bag, some E will use Epsom! Older picoton can be cherve, but now mainly clemence!
Hermes leathers have many different types, like u said Togo, Clemence, swift, Epsom, ostrich, lizard, croc, cherve, evergrain, evercalf, box, Tadakdt , so many types!
Depends in what style K or b u like?Eg, if u like slouchy feel birkin, u need soft leather like swift and clemence!
Medium feel birkin, not slouch but not too structural, but can stand in it own without slouchy (25/30), then go for Togo, cherve, tadelakt
Hard structural must be Epsom
But like Kelly, if u like sellier, outside stitching, these days mainly Epsom, rarely have box
Retourne is inside stitching and available in mostly leathers.
For me, I love cherve with the sheen! Box and tadelakt with the sheen!
Togo for the soft leather touch and grainy, so can't show too bad on scratches
Swift is the soft butterfly feel, but too soft for a bag to stand
So I can't tell u my favorite, as I like both grains and non-grain leathers! So it ready up to you, if u don't want to use without panic, I will choose Togo!
