My relative is dying and he has only a couple months left in this world. We really want him to accept Christ, but he is very firm that he will not. Why do we sometimes being so stubborn? Instead of trusting there is a God out there who can perform miracles and give you peace...he prefers to put his trust on other things, such as himself and "miracle" Chinese medicine.
God performed a miracle on him already...more than 100+ people prayed for him two months ago when he was in critical condition. His lungs were filled with water and the doctor said that they might need to take out water 3 days in a row, but he ended up getting it done in 1 day only...a very smooth operation instead. He and his family knew that it was quite strange that this miracle happened...but after he felt better, he hadn't think much about it...now he is in very critical situation again...and knowing that he has only a few months left, he still insists that he doesn't want to hear anything about Christianity.
Very sad...
I don't want to force him..and I don't want to make him feel like, "If you believe, God will save you...if you don't believe, God will not save you." What can I do? :-(
I understand your feeling. Same case happened to me. But, I can do nothing now coz he passed away last week and I will attend his funeral service tomorrow. We have invited friends from church to chat with him before but his heart was so "hard"....I am quite sad as well.....most of my relatives are resistant to God. I need to pray more frequently on this issue and need to work hard in letting them to turn to God.....really not easy.
