She's called Emmelyn, about 25 years old. She helped with a Chinese couple to take care of a new born baby before (2003-2004). But later, the couple emigrated to Shanghai and she went back to the Philippines.
She came back to HK 3 mths ago and took care of a family with a single mother and two children (5 & 15 yrs old). But the employer was very violent (she even kicked her own small child). She fired her one midnight and asked her to leave immediately. She claimed that Emmelyn had broken the pedal of a rubbish bin. She didn't do it and refused to sign on the letter which stated that she'd done so.
Now she's staying in her aunt's employers' home in Sai Kung and the last day that she can stay in HK is this Thursday (10 Aug, the day after tmw). The British employers won't employ her because they have already got 2 maids.

I don't think she intends to migrate to a western country. Her previous employers were all local Chinese. Besides, if she really want to go to a western country, she can simply ask her auntie's boss who's a foreigner to look for a foreign employer for her.
Anyway, no harm to give her a call. At least you can save the agency fee and she's immediately available.
If she's bad, I don't think the British couple would let a stranger stay in their home for 2 weeks right?
Today is her last day in Hong Kong. For those who are interested, please call her and if you don't sign any contract with her, she has to go back to the Filippines first.
