but i think it's quite impossible to 開完刀一個鐘內餵人奶
my doctor ordered me to lay on bed for the whole day after 開完刀
i started to try breastfeed my baby on the second day afternoon, and no problem, he has been wholly bf for more than 10 months now
i have many friends who are the same case as me,
they also 開完刀, and started to bf on the second day , they all succeed in bf, for 3 months to over 9 months
dun worry, you can too if you persist and dun think of giving up easily !
I wanna also ask..during 1st day, did nurse feed BB in milk formula? or they would wait for your bf? and did you need to massage or pump your breast on 1st day?
for the 1st day, i did ask the nurse to give formula to bb bcuz i didn't want him to starve and i was not sure when i could breastfeed him myself
i could choose to feed him glucose (as we were in private hospital) but i didn't
on the 1st day, i did nothing, only rested on bed,
i needed the others to help even for drinking a mouthful of water, hence i didn't do any pumping/massaging
for my baby, he had formula + BF for the first few days, then wholly breastfeed afterwards.
i know some mom will insist not feeding baby any formula until mammy feeds the baby,the baby will be fine, except a little bit hungry
Actually the bb doesn't really need much milk in the first few days and you will feel only 谷奶 on the 3rd day. DO NOT move around on the first day as I did so @ around 20 hrs....and the wound need to restitch eventually.....v troublesome......but when I can move around, I can go into the feeding room to bf my daughter. There wasn't any milk at all, just 啜啜only and then some 初乳 @ the 2nd-3rd day.....but the feel of 谷奶 is really painful.....even than labouring (actually I didn't labour too much because we found out eventually that the umbilicol cord tied up my daughter's legs....).....
the milk pumped will not be too much @ the first few 2 weeks.
are you going to a private hospital ?
