Playgroup = toddler class (some school admit 6 months to 2 years old BB)
N1 = nursery (most nursery only admit BB who reach 2 years of age, meaning our baby either join later in Jan 2008 插班 or join in Sep 2009 be a 大仔)
For some school which offer Toddler class, you can first join the playgroup and then remain in the playgroup until they reach two, the school will 留位比你個BB...
What is the different between Playgroup and N1 besides the age can join? If BB can go to K1 when he/she is 2 yrs & 8 months old, then, why I need to send him/her to N1 for few months time?
1) Well, they both play but in N1, they will start teaching some basic things, like ABC but in playgroup, they just played around and more sing along type of teaching, e.g. they will sing a song of 'Make a circle' to let the BB knows that its time to sit around in a circle...
2) There is no need to attend N1, its just a lot of parents choose to send their kids there one year or few months before kindy, so that prior to K1, they would have learn how to social and study with other kids, e.g. They would have got use to attending school etc...
