Hi, anyone tried the iFly? Worth to go?
Good for my boy at 8 years old?
Anything we need to pay attention?
As mentioned by others, early advance booking via web cost less. Meanwhile, different time slots cost different, say, morning sessions are less expensive.
Each session has about 10 - 14 persons. First receive a briefing and learn basic sign languages. If only ur kid was taking the ride, one and only one parent (merely as translator, if necessary, of course) could accompany the kid into the briefing room. Next, transfer to another area and put on jump suit, goggle, helmet, ear-piece (both parents could present in this area). No loosen materials like hairpin, glasses, necklace, sandals ..., were allowed and locks are available. And don't forget to bring a pair of socks that day. Whole preparation last about 30 mins or so.
U'll have two rides and each ride last about 30 - 45 secs. Around 4' - 5' above the floor. No rolling or flipping unless u have accumulated 60 mins+ riding experience. At the end of 2nd ride, u'll be asked if u want to take the 3rd ride (of course, it's going to cost u, but cost less).
The ride is barely OK but will be a great fun for an 8-year-old. It's a completely different from the skydiving and because of visual effects, it's even less exciting than roller coaster. Still, as I've said, for ur kid, go ahead. As an adult, ur call.

係咪一定要booking?我個女8歲,好想玩,但我驚佢唔識控制,想去到睇吓人玩先。
Strongly suggested make reservation b4 hand as no guarantee for walk-in. Whether empty slot available while walk-in, ur guess is as good as mine. But if I were u and kids wanted to go, made reservation then.
So long as she paid attention at the briefing, she'll be fine and could levitate, guarantee. Coach is (standing, not floating) right beside her while she's riding. During the ride, both will communicate thro' simple sign languages.
Have fun.
