Anyone used PDA to watch IP CAM?

I am thinking of installing IP cam at home so that I can watch my baby and maid from the office, but my office has very strict IT security rules, so I cannot use my office computer to watch.

I thought about 3G but very expensive.

I am now thinking of installing a panasoxxx IP cam and then use a PDA (larger screen) to watch (subscribe unlimited GPRS at peoples or sunday) but I am worrried that it will be very slow. how about if I use a notebook and then use bluetooth on my mobile phone to connect? Would that still be very slow?

Can anyone help me?

Re: Anyone used PDA to watch IP CAM?

auwaisan,

I've tried to use a 3G phone to view the Panxx IP cam.

It only shows 1 frame, and you need to refresh it to load another one. And you can't view the image stored in the buffer nor control the cam.

I also tried to use GRPS (Smartxxx) to view it but some how it failed, don't know why and have not really look into it.
