in June 2005, I employed a young Philippines maid.
She was helpful, respectful, work hard and efficient, playful with my sons. The only weakness for her is 大頭蝦.
In my family, there is another maid with for my 99 for 6 years. She is honest and loyal to our family but she's rather 多事 & 八卦. She likes to control everything just like a 管家.
When my young maid came for several months. They started argue. The old one said the new one's attitude is not good and not obedient when she teach her something. And the young one said the manner of the old maid towards her is bad and always 惡 ! We also saw that after we went out with the new maid and came home, the old one 發脾氣 and 大力掟掃把.
Anyways, we just comfort both as both of them's performance is more than satisfactory.
They started not to talk with another for a long long time. But they are still very okay for their work behaviour.
The worst thing happened in September, after we travelled with new maid. They argued seriously. My old maid came back late on her holiday. My new maid cried after she has her holiday and said the old maid 傳播流言 among the philippines maid in our building...she said she want to give way then...
I comforted her and say we will try to talk with the old one and ask her to stay and try some more time.
After one week, the new maid said she's okay but she's not gauranteed the duration of stay. But in case there's nothing happen, she loves to work in our family. But I found that she's not concentrate on working compare with before.
But... one night she gave me letter to resign and EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Oh my God, I have two young children and the other maid don't know how to take care them. I didn't ask her to stay again as I was very angry at that moment.
Recently, the new maid call me again and ask me for recommendation letter. What can I do ? She worked okay when she stay but she's rather irresponsibility at the last moment and rather 無情. She didn't consider my situation and at least, it's better if she gave me one week notice or one month notice. So that I will not 拿手唔成勢! and I have to prepare my son's primary application and interviews in these time.
1- If you were me, will you issue the letter for her ?
2- I applied a new maid to come but she's rather...令我頂唔順. Just 21 years old but work like a 師奶. 行路似師奶, 做家務要擺張樣chair坐係度做. 同佢講野要repeat several times. super slow motion. If you were me, will you ask the previous maid to come back again if she cannot find a job and my 99 later fry the old maid also ??
