I feel ok to carry just the mini to & from work and so can double pump at work. Besides, I felt that with the cost of renting & my intention to bf until bb is at least 1 yr old, it is more cost effective for me to buy the pump. My bb is ok with the noise of the mini, in fact, most newborn is very calm with whitenoise, like vacuum cleaners & hairdryers. So, bb is ok with the noise. But I also tend to talk to her for a while before switching on the pump so the noise is not s sudden sound for her. Well, that's my silly thoughts to think so.....
3. bb not yet born, 應該幾時買 or 租 ?
I think no need to rush into renting yet, again as a C9, with the cost of renting, you don't know if the pump will work for you yet. Some people may actually find hand pump better. If to buy, select your pump first and buy closer to bb birthday as the pump comes with a 6/12 months guarantee from the day of purchase. If buy too early and find not working, it can be stressful for a new mom to arrange for exchange etc.... If you plan to give birth at private, you can also try it out while you're at hospital, if it works for you, get your hubby to buy it before you go home. It's readily available, so make him do some work too!
