my agent said that too, philippines has new policies. She said employer needs to pay $6,000-7,000 first before the maid comes, and the maid has to attend training and has examinations, something like that! therefore it will take longer to process.
If the maid hasn't worked as a domestic worker before, i think it is a good idea to have them fully trained and need them to pass the examination!
