Me too!
My baby still unwilling to speak and he also don't like chewing. He swallows food only. If anything need to chew, he will hold into his mouth for long time.
Anyone can help me?

so what kind of food do you feed him with if he doesnt like to chew? congee?
Can he speak single word like mama?papa?
I went to the clinic for 1.5 year old injection, the nurse refer me to see a doctor. That makes me worries. but my mother thinks that there's no need to hurry cos lots of neighbours's baby has this problem and they talk whenever they are ready.
My baby is 1.5 years old and do not start talking yet.
He is having his immune injection this Friday. I will consult the nurse there.
I am not really worry about it because I think he understand what we say from his response. So it's a matter of time.
My elder son started to talk at 2.5 years old, really late. But he is okay now though not very good at talking.
My son also not yet start to talk, sometime he can say "車車" & ”呀姐” , but when i ask him to talk, he not willing to talk with me & just "點頭”.
now, i really afraid he is speech delay....., is boy normally will start speech later??
To mummy-to-be,
I give biscuit, bread, carbee B, potos chip,fish egg etc... to him. He bite a little and hold into his mouth. I ask him to chew but he vomit out only. I ask the nurse in clinic, she just say that he is lazy only.
I try to give finger biscuit to him and eat in front of him everday. I force him to chew, he can finish the biscuit. I try different kinds of food that make him like to eat.
He still cannot speak single word, I heard some sound like mama...papa..., But if I ask to speak again, he refused.

you may try giving him a star-shaped puff, which you can buy from toy's for us ($~19). My son loves them and he places the puff under his front tooth to bite it. There are two flavour: banana and strawberry/apple, both of which are quite good.
The other mummy mentioned that her son start talking at 2.5 years old. That makes me less worry. The doc in the clinic refer me to hospital to see a nurse for an evaluation (1.5 hours) and then depending on his situation, then wait to see anther specialist. I have not decided whether or not to go for the evaluation, but the nurse and doc both ask me the same question: are you worry? i said not really. They gave no example / data/ that what will happen to a baby who has not started talking at the age of 1.5 years old.
the whole thing bothered me but my husband/ parents dont think it is a big deal......
but i am really pissed off with the government nurse/doc.
