I choose the 3-bed room, but they said they cannot guaranteed the 3-bed room even I full paid! That means if there are only private room available on that day, i have to pay for the private room! The doctor will also charge the private room price! It is totally out of our budget!
Last night I went for a site visit and all the rooms are full except for the private Room!!!!!!
Should I change to Cesarean to secure a place then?
Are you sure if no 3-ppl room and need to upgrade to private room, then need to pay for the private room? As I know, they will upgrade the room without upgrade charge, have you asked them? And the doctor also will charge the 3-ppl room charge, not private room charge, have you checked with your doctor?
Actually, I booked for c-session, and the nurse also said no 100% guarantee for the room type.
I just called them and said I want to順產, I can only book the expected due date. What if I give birth earlier than the expected due date? They said they cannot guarantee a place for順產 before the expected due date. You can only be admitted to the room available at that time. e.g. if there is only semi-double room available, you have to upgrade to semidouble and pay the semi-double price!!! The doctor also said the same for the doctor's charge!
I said if only private room left , i cannot afford that, then she said they can refund to us in that case! But what use is that to refund at that moment? Should I 痛住周圍找醫院at that moment?

My EDD is end of April, and my doctor booked the OT for me in Jan. Actually, I am not quite sure about the normal delivery booking procedure. So, did your doctor have already reserve a seat for you, but can't guarantee the room type? So, what's about if the first date has no 3-ppl room, then need to change to semi-private, but the 2nd day has the 3-ppl room available, can you change it back? And how much does the doctor charge?
No. They said you have to pay for the price of the room type you are admitted at the 1st day so there is no use to change to those"big rooms" even there are vacancies the day after.
It is different from the old policy before that you can change back to "big room" if you opt for the big room when you are admitted but it is the hospital who cannot provide u with the big room and force you to upgrade. In the old days you only need to pay for the difference.
My doctor will also charge for the price according to the room type I am first admitted :-(
