I am in the same situation. My maid is leaving by the end of this month, but I still have to wait for the approval of the visa of the new maid. Probably she can come in June or July.
I was very depressed and worried at first. But I am lucky enough to ask the neighour to look after my baby during the transitional period. I just rang the lady next door and ask her for help. ( of course I know her a bit.) I have also asked people living in my building if anyone can help. Even I have a temporary helper, I am still quite worried. So I understand you well. Good luck.
