mine 6 weeks old, 4 oz per 3.5-4 hours (~24oz /day)
his feeding and sleeping pattern is more or less settled down recently.. good sleep at night time, 2 meals can be separated upto 5.5 hours.
since my boy is gaining wt quite good and fast.. weight jumped fr 5% to more than 25% percentile now.. I am afraid he is gaining too fast already.. so Eclipse, your bb is really eats a lot! I read some book which says, babies cry sometimes just bcoz they need comfort and sucking is one way to sooth baby. so if you feed them, they will calm down but actually, they are not hungry.
I am doing ad again, the book called "the happiest baby on the block" is really good to calm babies! try to request/borrow it from public library, I think they have 3-4, and I just returned mine =P
