is it worth my time to do a summary dismissal?........but I don't know whether to inform the police to check the rest of her belongings which are still in our flat.
{You will decide yourself whether to file a police report or not. I have no objection about that. In my opinion, if she had stolen your things, you won't probably find it in your house. And she is leaving soon. Measuring that, what is the point of creating more problem for yourself. Just keep your valuables safely and lock it away. On her last day before she leave your premises, you can ask her to show you the things she is taking away with her. However, do not touch her things. If you are afriad of more trouble, just pay her the balance few days up to her last day (16 or 20 or 24??!!) now and ask her to leave immediately.}
I want to ask some more information in question (4). That means I need to provide a copy of my maid of the previous reference letter in Hong Kong working experience and she can apply exemption before come to HK. Is it when she receipt her HK working visa and reference letter, she can direct frieght to HK, no need waiting any exam. and permit in Phil. Thanks for your helpful.
{I don't understand your question? Pay OWWA for what matter? By law, all payment/fee pertaining to the maid employment have to be paid by the employer.}
The OWWA my maid asked for my refund is HKD200 which is an insurance to cover her death/ disablement in piso payment.

{By law, all payment/fee pertaining to the maid employment have to be paid by the employer. BUT this is not a necessary item for the employement, you can try to explain to her it should pay by herself because this is an extra benefit and actually that is not required by HK Government}
My maid showed me an extract from HK Immigration document that all fees paid by the maid subsequent to the contract should be borne by the employer, including "OWWA". I couldn't quote it exactly to you as I threw it to gabbage at that time out of anger.
I paid her $4000 a month, I bought her gold earrings on birthday, I supplied her afternoon tea and let her buy whatever she needed in supermarket or wet market. I was angry not because of the sum but that she squeezed her benefits too much. I paid her $4,200 last month but now decide only $4000 this month. She losses $200 in pocket for something that she may never benefit (OWWA is for disablement or death)!!!
{Take it easy. Don't be upset and waste your sentiment for such unappreciative person.
The Law does not cover every details and there is alot of grey area. If you look at your Employment Contract (Green Copy) Item 8 i to v, it state that employer have to be responsible for all fee and payment including those impose by the maid government authorities. But it never state the items in extensive details.
Most of the time the maid will not mind paying it themselve for this small fee. Moreover you had been overpaying your maid all the time. You had pampered her overboard. That is why she treat you like a 'water-fish'.
If your Employment Contract state monthly salary as HK$3,400, go by Law from now on and pay her that amount.
I always advice to the employer, if you want to give more then HK$3,400 per month, pay to her as Basic Salary PLUS Allowance. Allowance can varies from month to month accordingly to your likely. Or else they will take it for granted as if it is what you should give her. Moreover, if the employer need to pay Long-Service-Payment in the future, it will base on the standard monthly salary and exclude the Allowance.}
