How old is your baby? If s/he's fully breastfeed, then you don't need to worry. No ng ng for a few days is very common for most breastfeed babies. My daughter's record is 14 days no ng ng! As long as you baby has urine (6 wet diapers), then it will be fine. Don't worry!

My baby has the similar case:
0-3.5 months: Normal, daily
3.5-6.5 months: at least 7-10 days for one time
6.5-9 months (now): 0-3 days for one time

For the 1st time (7 days), I worried terribly and took my baby to the hospital as she cried crazy in 9:00PM one night. But the doctor said this case was acceptable and didn't recommend us to give her any treatment, just treat her naturally, as she stopped crying and acted as normal.

Then I checked from internet and health center, there was a baby who did not have ng ng for 21 days from their records. The reason is baby digested all milk and absorb all nutrition, that's why no feaces.

Agree w/ irischanpl that your baby must have enough urine.

You could also check how many pounds did your baby gain since last check up.

My baby's weight gain were satisfactory in the first 6 months, similar to the babies who take formula milk.

So don't worry. Massage her tummy & let her drink more water could also help!

你不要擔心....

when my bb was 3.5 months old, she 第一次7天無大大, 約晚上9時狂哭, 我們十分擔心并往醫院睇醫生. 雖然7天無大大, 醫生不贊成用藥, 免小朋友過份倚賴. 第8日, my bb 有大大, 使我們略為放心.

但我仍不斷上internet research, 有醫生話見過廿一天無大大. 我問健康院姑娘, 佢地話因為bb消化及吸收晒所有人奶, 所以無排泄物. 只要有足夠尿尿, 便ok. 另一方面, 你仍要留意bb的體重增長情況. 按摩肚子, drink more water 亦有用.

until 6.5個月大, 平均7-10天才有一次大大. 體重增長比例可比美食奶粉的bb, 使我們不再擔心.

after 6.5個月大, 開始給bb食米糊及水果, 平均0-3天便有大大.
