which one will you choose

Here are 2 maids, which one would you choose?

1. BUn BUn - 38 yrs, in HK 8 yrs one employer. Single,but took care of newborns in her previous employer. Reference by her employer was ok but sometimes black face. English and a little cantonese.

2. Indonesian - 29 yrs, married with a child. Took care of newborn in Singapore for 2 years (according to agent). never been to HK. Ok in english.

I need someone to take care of my newborn (3 months). can anyone give advise?

其實2個都麻麻.另仲有好多因素要考量.
1. bun - 你有冇問佢僱主點解唔再同佢續約? 點解佢會black face,會否同僱主有問題? 你有冇親自見過個bun,你覺佢點?佢對你的態度又係點? 有冇比佢見下你bb/比佢試下湊半日?

2. 印 - 可否同佢用電話interview,問下佢問題? 可否同佢singapore的僱主傾下計?

If I were you, I will choose No.2 (Indonesian)
1. 29years old (more younger than Bun Bun)
2. married (should be more mature)
3. with a child and 2 years experience of taking care newborn (should be more sincere and competent in caring your newborn baby)
4. working experience in Singapore (should be quite smart and clean)
5.English OK (easiler to communicate)

I agree with cherriemama. But if you can, try to call her SIN employer to check on her English. I did hire two Indonesian maids and both worked in SIN for 2 years. The first one speaks very good English but now the 2nd one, I can't say she can speak or understand English at all, the worst is she seems doesn't understand Cantonese too!And she also has problems to handle routine housework. So don't think all maids who have been working in SIN can speak English, theie employer may speak Malay with them!

i have interview the Indonesian via internet web. No reference is available. I am not sure if theres a way to check on her passport???

For the bun bun, i have interview over the phone as well, will see her next week but she seems ok. she told me that her employer always shout at her but i dont know if its true.

Agree with trustme. Don't believe that every maid worked in Singapore can speak good English!!

I will choose No. 2 - the Indonesian maid. As you mentioned before, the ex-employer of the bun bun always shout at her? 如果個bun bun無做錯事, 個僱主仲咩成日鬧佢? 好得閒咩!! 梗係佢做錯事啦......所以唔好信曬佢呀!!

Why you can have the interviews through Internet or phone? Is it a special requested by you?

如果你揀yan 記住要佢比星加波個僱主d 資料比你因為好多時係個agent 作架好似我上次個個都話係singapore 到做過根本唔係law u must clarify this issue

Singapore experience doesn't mean the maid speaks English. I just interviewd 5 Indo. maids over the phone yesterday. All of them have SG experience. Only one of them can communicate with me in English. I had asked a question and only she could answer it reasonably. I asked what would she do if she found the baby was sick. She said she would tell Mum.

If you have interviewed the Indo maid and found her spoken English is quite OK, I would choose the Indo maid since she is younger. You know, it needs more energy to take care of new born baby and toddler.

賓賓係香港咁耐, 網絡好大唔易教, 又會成日攞個手電煲弼．仲知佢會BLACKFACE, 唔係咁好. 佢勝在八年係同一employer．不過如果你丙完佢，　佢又BLACKFACE，　你接受到嗎？

印印唔好請年紀大, 我以前想請個27歲湊我newborn BB, Agent都叫我唔好, 因為佢地記性差,又固執, 唔會聽你個套. BK Mun 都話上年紀的印印做野手腳慢．

如果屋企會經常有人，我可能會考慮個印．
